What Is The Bee Bed Experience?
What it is
The bee bed experience, also called the hive experience, is a form of apitherapy—a broad term that covers most bee-related wellness treatments. Specifically, it falls under "bee air therapy." You are fully clothed, completely safe, and never directly exposed to the bees.
You'll step into a peaceful space with a specially designed bed to lie upon, with up to 100,000 of nature's hardest workers underneath you, separated by protective mesh and rich, aromatic pine planks.
Experience all the good-for-you properties of a hive from a safe distance: the deep, resonant hum of thousands of bees at work, gentle warmth rising from below, a subtle vibration that moves through the bed and into your body, and the rich, earthy-sweet aroma of propolis, beeswax, and honey.
For 45 minutes, you relax, get grounded, and escape from stress. You just rest.

Why it works
The effects aren't accidental. Research into the hive experience and acoustic biology suggests that the hive's low-frequency vibration, typically around 200-400 Hz, resonates with the body in ways that activate the parasympathetic nervous system. In plain terms: it signals your body that it's safe to stop being on guard.
Studies and decades of anecdotal evidence from practitioners around the world point to measurable effects on stress hormone levels, blood pressure, anxiety, sleep quality, and overall sense of wellbeing. The aroma of the hive, propolis and beeswax, has its own documented antimicrobial and calming properties.
This isn't a fringe practice. It's been used in Eastern Europe for over a century. What's rare is having access to it right here in northeast Indiana.
The Benefits of the Hive
Is it safe?
Yes. You are never in contact with the bees. The hive is beneath the bed, sealed from the session space. Bryan is an experienced beekeeper and has managed hives for years. If you have a bee allergy, please disclose this when booking.
What a session looks like
When you arrive, Bryan will walk you out to the farm and introduce you to the property. He'll give you a short orientation, walk you through what to expect, and answer any questions before you get settled.
Orientation
Bryan walks you through everything so you're comfortable and ready.
45 Minutes of Rest
You lie back and let the hive work on your body and mind.
Quiet Reflection
Most walk out feeling calmer, heavier in their limbs, and clearer in their mind.
